Yes, the Canon EOS R8 is compatible with the Kingston Canvas Go! Plus microSDXC 128GB.
Canon EOS R8 has a full-size SD card slot; this microSD card fits via the bundled microSD-to-SD adapter. Kingston Canvas Go! Plus microSDXC 128GB is V30 class (meets the UHS Speed Class 3 floor). Meets the floor for: 4K30 (all codec options) and 4K60 IPB (Light) -- Canon's own manual lists IPB (Light) as requiring UHS Speed Class 3 only. Does not meet the floor for: 4K60 IPB (Standard), which requires Video Speed Class V60 or higher IN ADDITION to UHS Speed Class 3 -- this card is V30 class, not V60. (Peak write 90 MB/s is not evidence of sustained performance; the V30 class rating above decides this.)
Conditions for compatibility
requires the bundled microSD-to-SD adapter (included with the card).
Limitation
Cannot record 4K60 IPB (Standard) -- requires Video Speed Class V60 or higher, this card is V30 class. Works for 4K60 IPB (Light) (UHS Speed Class 3 only, met) and all 4K30 modes.
